District JOTA-JOTI 2026

Join us this October for our District JOTA-JOTI event and get the chance to connect with Scouts and Guides from around the world!

JOTA-JOTI (Jamboree on the Air and Jamboree on the Internet) is an annual worldwide Scouting event where young people use radios, the internet and other technology to communicate with each other. It’s a great opportunity to meet people from different countries, find out what Scouting is like elsewhere and try something a bit different.

There will be lots to get involved with throughout the event, including:

• Video chats with Scouts from other countries
• Text and online chats
• Radio communications
• Making international connections
• Digital games and challenges
• A range of workshops and activities

Beavers and Cubs

Beavers and Cubs are invited to join us for a day visit on Saturday. There will be plenty of activities to have a go at, with opportunities to chat to Scouts from around the world and learn more about how Scouting works in other countries.

Drop off and pick up will be staggered into two groups:

Drop off: 9am – Pick up: 5pm

Drop off: 10am – Pick up: 6pm

Groups will be allocated these when the programmes are sent around in advance of the event.

Scouts, Explorers and Network

Scouts, Explorers and Network are invited to camp with us from Friday to Sunday and take part in the full weekend programme.

Alongside the JOTA-JOTI activities, there will be plenty of time to enjoy the camp, meet other young people from across the District and get involved in everything that’s going on.

You don’t need any previous experience with radios or online communications. Just come along, get involved and see who you can connect with!

Event Costs

Saturday Day Visitors (Beavers and Cubs): £20.00 per person

*Weekend Campers (Scouts, Explorers, and Network): £40.00 per person

All Groups are required to self-cater for this event.

*If you are booking your own accommodation, the costs for the weekend campers will be reduced by £7.50 per person per night.
