We know that the national average service of an adult volunteer is 18months and many of the national awards expect 5years of service as a minimum, we also want recognition of the good work volunteers do week in week out, so we are launching our own.
It is our intention to award the bronze badge for 1 years service and completion of mandatory training.
The rest will be up to groups to suggest why a member should get a District Thank you & will be awarded at bronze level in the 1st instance, a second nomination a silver, 3rd at Gold. With an appropriate time between each.
