Firstly, we would like to thank all those who came along either in person or via teams. It was excellent to see so many young people from across our District come together with their parents/guardians! However, if you missed it, do not worry – your young person can still apply!
We are really excited to announce the summer of 2027 we are heading out to Kandersteg International Scout Centre (KISC) in Switzerland! This is the first international in many years for Walsall Scouts and we are really excited to bring you all along! KISC is the “home of the permanent Jamboree – the dream of Baden-Powell” and a place for all Scouts around the world to unite. Between the 9th-19th August 2027 we will be taking 40 young people between 10-18 to KISC to experience the true magic of Scouts!
KISC is situated in the middle of the Swiss Alps, 1200m above sea level. The Scout Centre brings a whole new meaning to sleeping under the stars surrounded by the mountains and we are so excited to take you with us. KISC has many activities to offer from over-night glacier experiences, water rafting through the alps and experiencing firsthand the local culture Switzerland has to offer (including the cheese and chocolate)!
We have published both the meeting and the presentation for you to watch (or rewatch)!
