We plan on running a District Support Day on either the 5th or 19th of October at Beaudesert Outdoor Activity Centre to include workshops, questions and answers and presentations from people across the District on various Support themes.
Your input is crucial in shaping the District Support Day. What support is needed across the District? Your contribution will make this day more effective and beneficial for everyone!
We will have a small charge for the day, including the day fee for Beaudesert, lunch for attendees, and a District campfire at the end of the day.
We currently have received the below themes:
- Digital Tools: Online Scout Manager and the New Headquarters Systems.
- Group Finance Management
- Fundraising and Grants
- Community Impact
- Complaints and Constructive Conversations
- Effective Local Communications
- Growth as an Outcome
- Safeguarding
- Squirrels
- Volunteer Experience and Transformation
- Navigation Skills
- Knots, Lashings and other Pioneering Skills
- Axe, Saw and Knife Work
- Campfire Skills
- Campfire Songs
Please fill in the Expression of Interest form below and let us know how you’d like the day to run, the themes you’d like to see, and if there’s any support you can provide in a workshop yourself! Even if you’re happy with the themes above, please let us know you’d like to come!
We’ll provide a booking form once we’ve gathered all the themes. This form will allow you to select your preferred workshops, ensuring you get the most out of the District Support Day.
